Opposites Attract, But Why?

Isn't it strange how two people who are completely opposite are together?

Over time, people have been conditioned to believe this and to believe that. People have been conditioned to fail rather than succeed.

One such conditioning that people have been trained to believe is that opposites attract, but why?

If you believe that opposites attract then you believe this for one simple reason... your  relationships with an opposite are doomed to fail.

Opposites that attract can be classified into two categories and they are as follows...

Couples That Know They Are Opposite

I hear excuses all the time as to why opposites attract. One such excuse is that it adds excitement to the relationship.

It doesn't matter what the excuse, the fact is, all excuses are a justification for doing something... and the problem with this is that love doesn't need any justification.

Love is as it is and doesn't need to be justified.

If you find yourself justifying the reason why you are attracted to a person then what you have isn't love. Instead, you have a relationship that is going to fail.

Think about this for a moment.

On one hand, you have a woman who loves to drink and party. This woman is dating a man who doesn't drink and doesn't party. Their lifestyle approaches are completely different. They are opposites yet they are attracted to each other.

Some will say that the woman is attracted to the man because she needs someone to slow her down. Others will say that man is attracted to the woman because he needs to become a partier as he is so dull.

Ultimately though, although they may do alright in the beginning, sooner or later, their differences will separate them rather than bring them closer.

Love isn't about creating differences.

Eventually the woman will find the man boring and the man will find the woman out of control. Eventually they will break up and go their separate ways because what they had wasn't love... instead, what they had was the fear of love.

People are attracted to opposites because they know the relationship is going to fail. It's a way of preventing yourself from being with a truly wonderful partner. You prevent yourself from being with a truly wonderful partner because then that would mean all the chaos in your life would need to disappear and all that would remain is love.

Yes, people use the excuse that opposites attract to justify their decision to date a bad partner.

If you are justifying your love by saying this or anything else then you don't have love. You have a fear of love.

Love doesn't need to be justified!

Couples That Are Opposites... But, The Don't Know It

Have you ever met a couple that are complete opposite yet they have a beautiful relationship?

You wonder why? Hmmmmm what is their secret?

Their secret is they don't know they are opposite. All they know is they are happy for no reason at all.

The couples who don't know they are opposites have perfectly great relationships because they are not justifying their differences. Instead, they simply accept who they are and who their partner is.

Let's take the same example again... the woman is a wild partier and the man is a dull person who doesn't drink. The couple are together yet they don't see the differences because to them, their differences don't exist. All that exists is the joy of being together. The man accepts the woman for who she is and the woman accepts the man for who he is.

In this situation, the man won't think the woman is out of control and the woman won't think the man is dull. The reason why they don't judge is because they have put their ego aside and instead, they are basking in the joy of love. These people are not justifying their reasons for being together.

Another example could be a man who is extremely intelligent with a Ph.D. This man is married to a woman who is a high school drop out and her knowledge of vocabulary is limited to simple words. Yet, these two can have the best relationship in the world because the man doesn't see the woman as being stupid... and the woman doesn't see the man for being smart. What they see is a team... harmony... and what they are is joy. 

These couples are not justifying their differences because as far as they know, they don't have any differences. These couples are completely unaware of any differences because they don't know that differences exist.
